The Stevie Watts Organ Trio

The Stevie Watts Organ Trio are all highly regarded sidemen having worked with many big name artists respectively. They come together to perform their own blend of Hammond soul, funk & blues with just a hint of jazz!

Award winning Stevie Watts (Steve Winwood, Secret Affair, Joe Louis Walker), Nat Martin (Toyah, Thomas Dolby, Jo Harman) and Vinnie Lammi (Cocteau Twins, Robbie Williams, Spice Girls) met through working together in singer Jo Harman’s band and started playing organ trio gigs around the Brighton area for a couple of years when Stevie invited Alice Armstrong in to write top lines on some tracks. This led to the making of their highly acclaimed debut album Mission to the Moon.

"Loving' this soul jazz sound, really loving' it!" Craig Charles - Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show.

"This album has to be my to pick of the year!" - Paul Long - Chair at IBBA and radio show presenter.

"Best album I've heard this year by a mile! It's an understated monster!" - Jason Elliott - Former director at Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival".

The fire and energy that this band creates defies the fact that they’re a trio and when joined by Alice they turn into something like no other. Take outstanding players with great songs that lift your spirit, add some infectious Hammond grooves so funky that it should requires a health warning! Top it off with rip-roaring solo’s and you have something that you would be absolutely crazy to miss!
